Our History

We started in 2007 with our first release of Easy movie organizer 1.0. This Windows program helped many people organize their movie collections in a very easy way. We listened to user feedback and added many new features in versions 1.1, 1.2, 1.5 and 2.0. Since then, a lot has changed. We got feedback from people who had lost all their collection data because their pc had crashed, and we could not help them because all the data was stored on their pc. So we made the hard decision to stop improving Easy movie organizer and created a new online version we call “Collectionmedia”. There are many reasons why we did this: we had a case in which a user bought Easy movie organizer and then couldn’t use it on a Mac because it was a Windows program, so we apologized and returned his money. There were also problems making the program work at many different screen resolutions and on many operating systems, updating it and so on… With Collectionmedia we have tried to solve all those problems to provide a better user experience. Collectionmedia works at any resolution, on any operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux), on any major browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera) and also on mobile devices with an internet connection. Most of our competitors have separate products for movie, music, game and book catalogs. So we decided to put them all together and make one application which can replace four traditional applications for the price of one traditional application. We hope we have done a good job, and now our users can access their collections from anywhere and have their collections safe on our server…

Our vision

Our vision is simple. We want to make the best movie, music, game and book catalog software. To do this we need your feedback. So, if you have any suggestions for making Collectionmedia better, let us know. We are here for you. Your opinion is important to us.

All suggestions will be considered for implementation in future upgrades. Don't be afraid that your voice is too small for us to hear. We truly consider all suggestions, and if we think they are useful, or just fun, we will try to make your desire reality as soon as possible.
